Coach Sheba Butler
I graduated from Lander University in South Carolina with a B.S. degree in mass communication in April 2011.
I played basketball all 4 years in school and during that time, won 3 conference championships, was team captain for 2 years and was one of the most athletic players on the team.
I have been told I am a great basketball player with the natural ability to lead. I am very excited to be coaching with ATTACK! Basketball. My goal is to be a great role model for all of the kids, especially the girls, in our program.
Some of my credentials from college are as listed below:
- 2007: Scored 40 points in one game my freshman year, and missed breaking the school record by only 2 points
- 2007-2009: Led my team to victory in the Conference Championships
- 2007-2011: Played in NCAA post-season tournament
- 2008-2011: Represented my whole team on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
- 2009: Selected by the NCAA to attend their annual Leadership Conference, an honor bestowed to only two athletes from each school in the country
- 2009-2010: Achieved the All-Conference/Tournament awards for being in the top 10% of players in the conference
- 2010: Surpassed 1,000 point milestone, finishing career with 1,191 points
- 2011: #1 team in the country for Division II women’s basketball according to ESPN/USA TODAY
